You should be able to run 10 km in a race in under 55 minutes.

.

Do I need to sign up for the trial training?

Please fill out the form below so we have the necessary information about your training level. We will then get in touch with you. If you have any questions beforehand, feel free to contact Colin via WhatsApp or by phone at 076 561 79 97.

.

When and where can I find you?

You can find the respective meeting points for Tuesday (St.Jakob) and Thursday (Stadion Schützenmatte) here. It’s best to arrive about 10 minutes before training starts.

.

When does training start?

Training always starts punctually at 6:45 PM.

.

Changing rooms and shower facilities are available on both Tuesdays and Thursdays.

.

Can I lock up my valuables?

The changing rooms are lockable. However, we accept no liability for lost valuables and recommend bringing few or no valuables with you.

.

Can I attend the trial training more than once?

Yes, we recommend joining training for free for an entire month. It’s important to us that everyone feels comfortable, and we want you to be able to get a feel for our club at your own pace. If any questions come up, the training leaders are always happy to help.

.

Which training group should I run with?

In general, we don’t divide our training groups by fitness level.

For recovery runs, or if you’d rather run at a relaxed pace, feel free to join the Fitness group, provided you meet the minimum requirement.

If you’re training for a race, we recommend joining the Competition group. In this group, everyone runs at their own individual pace.

The Endurance group runs at a pace of 5:20 min/km, covering about 15 km in 80 minutes. This group is offered on Thursdays, as well as on Tuesdays from January to March and November to December. During the summer months, this group is replaced on Tuesdays by the Trail group. However, we only recommend this group for experienced trail runners.

You’re welcome to try out all the groups and can also decide spontaneously each time which group you’d like to train with. You can find the training plan and detailed information on the individual groups here.

.

What do I need to do after my first training session?

Give the relevant contact person feedback on how you liked it and whether you’ll be coming back.

.

Am I allowed to run if I’m sick?

If you’re sick, it’s better to stay home, or to check with a doctor to be safe about whether running is advisable. Please inform the relevant group leader before training if you have a health condition, such as asthma or a bee or wasp allergy.

.

Does training take place in any weather?

Since the club was founded, not a single training session has been cancelled. In exceptional cases (e.g. severe thunderstorms, storms, or black ice), training may be adapted. Any related information would be communicated on the website.

..

Can I also join the long jogs on weekends?

If you’d like to join a long jog on the weekend: to be safe, check the current training plan for when and where the training run takes place. Changing rooms are not available for the long run.
